Celebration of the 11th anniversary of the election of Pope Francis on March 13, 2024 at the Holy Family Co-Cathedral in Kuwait
In a solemn, yet joyful manner, the 11th anniversary of the election of Pope Francis and the beginning of his Pontificate took place on March 13, 2024. This commemoration was held at the Holy Family Co-Cathedral with a Solemn Celebration of the Eucharist presided over by His Excellency Eugene M. Nugent, Apostolic Nuncio to Kuwait, Bahrain and Qatar. Likewise, there was a large representation of the Catholic community present, including, Priests, religious Sisters, parish representatives and member of Catholic associations. Equally, as a sign of closeness and appreciation of Holy Father, Leaders of other Christian denominations attended, as well as members of the Diplomatic Corps and friends of the Nunciature, thereby expressing their fraternity and friendship.
The Apostolic Nunciature in Kuwait greatly appreciates the assistance of all attendees and the Catholic community who collaborated in the organization of this celebration, while reaffirming the openness of the Holy See in favor of healthy coexistence and dialogue which are among the fundamental pillars of Pope Francis' Pontificate.
